I became concerned about climate change after the birth of my first grandchild. It was clear no one was taking rising CO2 seriously. Rather than complain about inaction, I determined that I would do what I could. After completing and MBA in Sustainable Management, it was clear to me that solar plus storage is the best way to reduce greenhouse gases. Custom Power Solar has been active in policy and as a developer for 11 years. I am pleased that NorCal Solar, slowed by the COVID-19 pandemic, is ready to move forward with educational programs for the general public and potentially hosting the annual Solar Homes Tours. I look forward to more in-person and online educational forums, providing newsletter updates, and collaborating with others to further solar plus battery storage, electrification to reduce fossil fuel use, and increasing EV adoption.
